5 Axis water jet machine; It is a CNC machine that can make angular and conical cuts with +60° and -60° head rotation movements as well as 90° vertical cuts with its cutting head, which is an engineering marvel, in the X Y coordinate limited cutting area.

What is a Water Jet Machine?

It is a high-tech industrial type machine that mixes abrasive sand such as an emery stone with the water it presses in a high pressure water jet pump at a certain rate and sprays it on the object loaded onto the cutting area.
What Does a Water Jet Cutting Machine Do?
The water jet cutting machine, which can cut plastic, wood, bulletproof glass, granite and all known metals perfectly with abrasive sand up to its narrowest angled bend, rather appeals to special industrial customers who seek measurement precision in their production. The waterjet machine is a machine that is needed in many areas, from automotive spare parts, machinery equipment, aviation industry, to workshops that cut decorative stone. Whether it is a 3-axis abrasive water jet cutting machine or a 5-axis waterjet cutting machine, metal stress relief is not required since the stress on the heat source cutting surfaces in traditional metal cutting methods is not present in waterjet cutting.
The Most Important Detail to Be Considered in CNC Water Jet Machine;
In water jet technology, which promises dimensional precision, there should be no vibration when CNC cutting with water. Therefore, achieving the desired cutting quality in CNC waterjet machine manufacturing requires minimum acceleration with a strong steel chassis infrastructure and light aluminum upper bridge structure. X, Y, Z, C, A axes are managed by servo controlled motors. SchindMachines waterjet cutting machine has achieved zero vibration in the machine body and is preferred both in Turkey and in the world market with the quality machine components and software it uses. The SchindJet water jet pump, which has the capacity to produce 4000 bar or 6000 bar pressure, is manufactured independently of the CNC water jet cutting machine so that it does not cause vibration. Schind Machines water jet machine parts are produced in completely universal sizes and do not expect constant dependency on spare parts like other manufacturers.
What is the Difference Between 3 Axis Waterjet Cutting Machine and 5 Axis Waterjet Machine?
3 Axis waterjet moves its bridge on the machine body in X and Y coordinates in the defined cutting area and brings the cutting head on the bridge to the point desired by the operator. Whatever technical drawing is loaded on the machine control panel, it cuts the cutting process to its narrowest radius by following those cutting lines. The cutting edges are 90° to the cut object, that is, it cuts at a right angle. Because the cutting head group is mounted on the movable bridge at a right angle of 90°, the software has been loaded accordingly.
The 5 axis water jet machine, on the other hand, moves its bridge over its body, like a 3 axis abrasive water jet cutting machine, and moves the cutting head over the bridge to reach the commanded point in X Y coordinates. 5 axis waterjet with its engineering wonder cutting head that can cuts at an angle curved, conical cuts by the help of C axis and A axis rotation movement, as well as it can make 90° perpendicular cuts. Harmonic gearbox driven head movements provide 360° precision rotation capability and excellent interpolation movement. Integration of the software and CNC control unit with these motion capabilities also brings precision net size cutting quality. 5-axis machine, also called beveljet, bevelcut, 3D waterjet cutting, and our models produced according to this concept, Schind SWJ1020, Schind SWJ1626, Schind SWJ1530, Schind SWJ2040, Schind SWJ2060, Schind SWJ2580, are the last point of this in waterjet cutting applications.
General Features of Schind Machines CNC Waterjet Cutting Machine…

* Head and Bridge movements (X & Y axes) are provided by servo motors with rack gear drive system on a linear slide.
* Precision ball screw is used for movement in Z axis.
* Water tank and body plates are made of stainless steel.
* To protect the equipment used in our machine, rectangular section closed first class bellows are used.
* Abrasive dosing unit is insulated to be protected from water and moisture.
* Moving axes are lubricated continuously thanks to the automatic lubrication unit.
* The main chassis subgroup is made of strong steel, goes to sandblasting, epoxy priming and painted with epoxy paint. Thus, the machine does not require maintenance paint for many years.
* It can also be produced as double head / different cutting capacity / 3 axis water jet machine and 5 axis water jet machine according to customer demand.
* Our expectation from the customer when we go to the installation; Transformer to meet 40KW additional current, power line drawn up to the machine, air compressor (7-8 bar), device to filter mains water, booster of at least 500 liters…
